Community Council on the Performing Arts

Mission Statement

The Community Council on the Performing Arts, Inc. is dedicated to providing an outlet for creative community involvement, while seeking to produce quality entertainment.  Our focus is on inclusion and quality, giving the public a well-balanced theatrical experience, and striving to meet with excellence all of the demands placed on a community theater.

Vision

We will create a spirit of teamwork and cooperation as we bring live entertainment to our community.  By providing all ages the opportunity to actively participate in a variety of theatrical experiences, we envision teaching that theater speaks to us all.  We see a community theater that is vibrant, viable, and receptive to the community as it changes and grows with each generation.

Value Statement

We value professionalism, creativity, fiscal responsibility, positive audience experience, accessibility, and community enrichment.

Message from the President...

I am excited to welcome you to our new season at the Fox Playhouse! We are ready with a lineup of choral and theatrical productions that will showcase the talent of Nevada and Vernon County. As most of you know, we try to maintain a good mixture of content and people in our shows. This includes veteran as well as rookie actors, directors, sound and light board technicians, etc. All this is to maintain the quality of entertainment that our audiences have grown to expect from the Community Council on the Performing Arts (CCPA).

Our volunteers spend countless hours rehearsing, producing, and promoting each show, and it is well worth the effort. Six planned events will show off our local talent and excellent facility. Each year our dedicated Board of Directors strives to improve our theatre and the quality of our shows. Yet the board can only do so much. This is where our volunteers, corporate sponsors, advertisers and loyal supporters come in. I want to sincerely thank those of you who have donated in the past, whether it has been time, advertisement, sponsorship, donation or being present in our audiences. Without your help and support, the CCPA could not exist. If we have made you laugh, brought a tear to your eye, or just made you think about something in a new way, then we have done our job.

We now have a much-improved sound system thanks to a partnership with Crowder College. You will enjoy the improved sound quality. However, there is always more that needs to be addressed. Make note of our website www.nevadamoccpa.org where you can always find out what is needed and what is going on with the CCPA. Also, take time to sign up on our mailing list.

You know, word of mouth is one of the strongest advertising tools there is, so tell your friends and family, neighbors, or even strangers about what the Fox Playhouse has to offer. If you would like to join us in our efforts in any way, talk to a board member or email us through the website. We will be happy to assist you. Thank you so much for being here—and have a wonderful experience at the theatre.

Now sit back and enjoy the show!

                                                                                                                 Kenny Jones
