ON WITH THE SHOW!
2010-2011 Season Fund Drive!
he Fox Playhouse
has a new face! Easily opened, accessible doors have recently been
installed in the theater entrance. This is the latest and most visible
enhancement to the theater since the completion of the Green Room. How
many of you have struggled with the old heavy doors? Struggle no more!
The doors were funded through a grant from the Finis M. Moss
Charitable Trust.
Additional
signs of continued progress over the last year include:
«
The Elizabeth Carey Chapter of Daughters of
the American Revolution (DAR) donated flag stands and flags to adorn
both sides of the stage.
«
Handrails were installed on the steps between
the backstage and the Green Room, providing much-needed safety
enhancements for our actors.
«
A new refrigerator was installed in the
concession stand in the lobby.
«
Significant duct work was done in the lobby
and concession area to provide improved temperature control for the
comfort of our patrons.
The
future of the Fox Playhouse depends on generous supporters like you!
The CCPA Board
of Directors works diligently to manage its annual budget both to
maintain the theater and to make improvements that are so
necessary with historic buildings. Sometimes the effort to keep the Fox
open seems very difficult until we look at how far we have come since
taking the big step in purchasing the beloved old theater as its
permanent home in 2003. Your annual support as a patron of the
arts is vital to ensuring that productions at the Fox continue
to be staged. CCPA has a proven track record of using funds wisely to
run the business of Community Theater—all without increasing
ticket prices for many years.
The
2010-2011 season begins in September with something new—a
Youth Showcase, featuring the talents of local youth, then
Dark Rituals, a thriller just right for October,
Sounds of the Season Community Choir concert in December, the
comedy Catholic School Girls in February, followed by the
comedy Queen of Bingo in April, a Summer Fun
Community Choir concert in May, and, to wrap up the season, Harvey,
a comedy, at the end of June. There is something for everyone!
Please, ACT NOW; print a
donation form and mail the form and your check to CCPA today! Send
your donation by August 31, 2010, and your name will be
included in the program booklets for each show of the 2010-11 season.
All donations are also listed on this website under
Donors.
Your gift, no matter
the size, helps to keep home grown community theater ALIVE.
